MATOBO HILLS NATIONAL PARK

The Matobo Hills is one of the most majestic areas in Zimbabwe. It is an awe inspiring mass of vast granite boulders sculptured by the elements and home to over 2000 Bushman paintings, the ancestral spirits of the Ndebele Nation, Cecil Rhodes’ grave, the highest black eagle population, many leopards and the only place in Zimbabwe where rhino sightings can almost be guaranteed. The Natural History Museum in Bulawayo is well worth a visit.

Big Cave Camp has a spectacular setting amongst the massive granite boulders with panoramic views of the valley and kopjes. Accommodates 14 guests in delightful A-frame chalets and welcomes children. Activities including game viewing and walking with a professional guide. Owner operated and one of the most hospitable camps in the country.  Highly recommended.

Other Motobo options include Amalinda, Motobo Hills Safari Lodge, Malalangwe Lodge and Khami Lodge.
