WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO?

This depends on where you want to go and what you want to see and do, as there is a season for everything. Game viewing is considered best in the dry season when the game is concentrated around the water sources, generally July to October in Southern Africa and December - March and July - October in Tanzania. Rain falls mostly in the summer months of November - March, at the end of a long hot day. The resulting rejuvenation of the bush, smell of the rain, spring blooms, exciting storms, incredible photographic light, migratory birds, juvenile game and low season rates are sadly missed by so many in preference of the big game high season. High season in the Cape is December - April.
