ETOSHA

Etosha National Park is Namibia's premier wildlife park with a fantastic diversity of game and wonderful views across the saltpans. Its drawback is that wildlife experiences are mostly from closed vehicles at waterholes and only basic accommodation is available at the National Park rest camps of Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni. We recommend staying outside the park.

Ongava Private Game Reserve is 20km south of Etosha and offers the full Etosha experience of daily game drives, but with great accommodation and service, as well as night drives and nature walks (not allowed in Etosha National Park). Ongava Lodge accommodates 20 guests in rock and thatch chalets with wonderful views across the plains and Ongava Tented Camp accommodates 10 guests for a more traditional experience.

Mushara Lodge is a new upmarket lodge on the eastern outskirts of Etosha, accommodating 20 guests in air-conditioned double rooms. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in the park, a large swimming pool and scenic flights over Etosha can be arranged. Mokuti Lodge is situated at the eastern entrance to the Etosha National Park Accommodation is available in single, double, family or luxury units for 216 guests.
