MAURITIUS
Mauritius is one of the world's most sophisticated

WHEN
TO GO
Mauritius is pleasant year round with daytime temperatures
in the mid to high 20s. Winter months (May - September) have
temperate days, cooler nights and less humidity. Summer months
(October - April) are hotter and more humid and best for big
game fishing, with a risk of cyclones between January and
March. December is peak season.

WHERE TO STAY
Le Saint Géran
An elegant and sophisticated five-star hotel situated
on the north east coast. It is set in lush tropical
gardens surrounded by turquoise seas and a reef protected
lagoon. As Sun International's flagship it has 175 air-conditioned

Royal Palm
Beachcomber's flagship and a member of the "Leading
Hotels of the World", situated on Grand Baie on
the north west coast, about 15 miles from the capital.

Le Paradis
A resort hotel set in 100 acres of tropical gardens
on the southwest Le Morne peninsula of the island. Its

Trou aux Biches Village Hotel
Set in a tropical estate of nearly 100 acres. The
accommodation is in thatched rondavels facing 5km of
