Natureways Canoe Trails offer two very unique and exciting opportunities to explore and discover the mighty Lower Zambezi and the surrounding Zambezi Valley. There are two options available - The Explorer Trails and The Odyssey Trails - and whichever you select; you are assured of a truly rewarding and magical experience.
Both trails are led by professional guides who have passed the rigorous tests set by National Parks and who have all studied and passed a Medical Air Rescue Services first aid course. Each guide is armed and equipped with a radio.
Natureways Explorer Trails offer seven different trips on the Lower Zambezi River as it meanders from the wondrous gorges of Kariba and Mupata, to the rolling flood plains of the Mana Pools area and beyond. These canoe safaris are semi-participatory, which means that, if you choose, you can participate in setting up and taking down the camps. The Explorer Trails are particularly suited to those who have an adventurous spirit and who enjoy the truly outdoors experience.
Natureways Odyssey Trails offer a less strenuous and more luxurious experience. On the Mana Shoreline Canoe Safari guests enjoy the wonders of Mana Pools National Park whilst drifting silently along the mighty Zambezi River. This is a fully backed-up safari, where the camps are set up each day at each different campsite by the camp staff. This stunning safari offers the opportunity of walking and canoeing, accompanied by a thoroughly knowledgeable professional walking and canoeing guide.
