Tangala House is a large luxurious privately owned house set on the banks of the Zambezi River. It offers privacy and exclusivity in a breathtaking setting and is a great place for families or groups of friends to stay. Tangala is perfectly situated for exploring the area and offers guests the advantage of the many activities on offer at Victoria Falls and the Zambezi National Park.

Location:
Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River approximately six miles upstream of Victoria Falls.

Accommodation and facilities:
The house is elegantly designed and offers the highest level of interior decor, whilst maintaining a true family feel, complete with children’s toys, books, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Tangala sleeps eight people comfortably in four stylishly appointed bedrooms, three of which are en suite. There is also a bathroom, a separate loo, a spacious kitchen/dining room, a children’s playroom, a large living room opening onto a thatch veranda, a snuggery with fireplace and a large swimming pool. Tangala comes fully serviced and staffed by team members from Tongabezi Lodge – including a chef and an experienced guide.

Activities:
There are a host of activities here including elephant rides, horse riding, game drives and, for the more adventurous, bungee jumping off the Falls bridge - one of the highest in the world, or white river rafting through the gorges and rapids below the Falls! For those interested in the culture and traditions of the area, there is the Livingstone museum and numerous craft centres close by. There is also a superb golf course on the Zimbabwe side.

Special attractions:
Some say that a visit to the Falls is not complete unless you have experienced the “flight of angels” (so called because of Livingstone’s exclamation that “sights such as these must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”), a flight over the Falls in either light aircraft, microlight or helicopter.
