Sindabezi Island Camp is a private island paradise nestled in the waters of the Zambezi, upstream of the Victoria Falls.
Location:
Situated on an island on the Upper Zambezi River in the Victoria Falls area.
Accommodation and facilities:
Accommodation is limited to a maximum of ten guests in five thatched cottages which are dotted around the shores of the island. Each of the delightful reed and thatch cottages have open fronts facing onto the river, allowing guests to enjoy, first hand, the sights and sounds of the river and the creatures that make it their home. All are en suite with heated outside shower, canopied beds and hurricane lamps to complete the traditional feel. At night, the camp is transformed into an ambient world of days gone by with superb cuisine being served under a canopy of stars. As you dine with the river meandering past and the unmistakable sounds of hippos wallowing nearby, you are assured of a truly memorable experience.
Activities:
Activities include atmospheric sunrise and sunset boat trips, game drives, afternoon canoeing, fishing, bird walks, a visit to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls and visits to Livingstone town and its two museums.
Special attractions:
During your stay here you can also enjoy a variety of activities on offer around the Falls. Helicopter flights, bungee jumps and white water rafting being just of the activities that can be arranged locally.
