Set within the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mweya Safari Lodge is one of the most majestic destinations in Uganda. Located high on a peninsula, Mweya affords spectacular views over the Kazinga Channel and some of the most superb sunsets in the whole of Africa. Accommodation and facilities:
Accommodation is offered in a superb selection of rooms and suites. All rooms are fully en suite and enjoy private balconies overlooking either the Kazinga Channel or Lake Edward. The suites and the Royal Cottage are fully air-conditioned. Meals are taken in The Kazinga Channel Restaurant which offers fine international cuisine. Mweya also boasts a swimming pool with a poolside bar for a cooling dip and drink. There is also a souvenir shop.
Activities:
Activities are wide ranging and include accompanied game drives and boat cruises along the Kazinga Channel in flat bottomed launches.
Special attractions:
Further game viewing opportunities are available to the Chambura Gorge which forms the border between the Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Chambura Wildlife Reserve where you can take part in a trek in the deep gorge to see chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys and red-tailed monkeys.
