Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, Paraa Safari Lodge is a place of peace and tranquillity. This sympathetically restored Lodge has played host to many dignitaries over the years included amongst which are The Queen Mother and Ernest Hemingway.
Location:
Situated in Murchison Falls National Park in the North West of Uganda.
Accommodation and facilities:
Guests are accommodated in a luxurious selection of rooms and suites, all of which are en suite with balconies that offer the most magnificent views of the Nile. The stunning interior of Paraa Lodge immediately invokes guests with a feeling of the original ’explorer’ days, with an array of historic maps, pictures and equipment bedecking the walls and tables of the lodge. The central area boasts a delightful lounge and bar. When it is time to cool down and relax guests can lounge around the swimming pool or enjoy a stroll around the beautifully landscaped natural gardens.
Activities:
Activities are wide and varied, including hiking to Murchison Falls, ferry trips to the foot of the Falls and game drives. Boat trips on the river Nile are also available where you may see the rare shoebill stork, as well as fish eagles, kingfishers, hippos, water buffalo and elephant. Fishing trips are also a popular choice with guests here.

Elevated high above the Murchison Falls on the north side of the river, this historical lodge enjoys spectacular views of the River Nile and the opportunity to experience an outstanding wealth of wild and birdlife.
