Bwindi Mantana Tented Camp is situated on the periphery of the Impenetrable Forest and provides a comfortable and peaceful base from which to track the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas. A host of different birds such as the Great Blue Turaco are resident, and easily seen from the tents.
Location:
Located on the fringes of Bwindi National Park.
Accommodation and facilities:
The camp offers a comfortable retreat with an emphasis on personal service and idyllic settings. The spacious tents accommodate two people and all have en suite bathrooms with hot shower and a dressing area. Each tent is set on its own private deck with great views over the surrounding area. The camp has a central dining room and well-stocked bar where guests can relax.
Activities:
Activities available include gorilla tracking and forest hikes.
Special attractions:
Although famous for its mountain gorillas, Bwindi is also home to six other less famous primate species. It is also possible to arrange a trip to see the Batwa Pygmies from camp.
