From its elevated vantage point on a peninsula that rises out of miombo woodland, Chada Katavi is perfectly positioned to allow breathtaking views out over the wide Chada Plain. As it nestles within a canopy of tall acacia and tamarind trees that provide a great source of shade and food for the abundant animal and birdlife, guests can often see great game without even having to leave the camp. Accommodation and facilities:
Six spacious traditional style, walk-in safari tents with large shade netting windows and a private bathroom tent with bucket showers, and long drop toilets. Each tent is complemented with fine wooden furniture, woven rugs and beds spread with crisp white Egyptian cotton. Dinner is served in a mess tent with superb food accompanied by romantic lighting and gleaming glass and silverware.
Activities:
Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, fly camping under the stars, outstanding birding, daily guided walks and longer three to four day walking safaris in to the wilder areas of the park.
