This is an opportunity to really soak up the smells and sounds of Africa...a five day, four night, fly camping, walking safari in Tanzania’s Selous Game Reserve accompanied by a fully qualified professional guide and camp support staff.
Safaris take place during the dry season from July to October and start in Dar es Salaam. Each day of this spectacular walking safari is designed to be different and offer unrivalled exposure to the stunning African landscape. The walks are approximately six to seven miles per day and are concentrated around the early morning and late afternoons allowing ample opportunity for post-walk fishing or simply relaxing in the shade, perhaps by a waterhole.
The fly-camps are fully supported by an experienced crew that move the camp, take care of chores and provide delicious food, cold drinks and hot showers throughout the safari. Accommodation includes large mosquito nets with bedrolls, shared bathrooms with bucket showers and an unrivalled sense of adventure!
Game viewing highlights include large herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo plus hippos and crocodiles on the rivers and lakes, fantastic elephant sightings and great birding.
