Kirurumu Tented Lodge perches dramatically on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, offering spectacular panoramic views over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mount Losimingori and seemingly endless miles of magical African landscape. Situated on the edge of the Great Rift Valley overlooking Lake Manyara in Tanzania’s northern circuit.
Accommodation and facilities:
Accommodation comprises of twenty double and twin ’tented rooms’ including two honeymoon suites. Each room is fully en suite, very tastefully furnished and has a private wooden veranda with armchairs and table. The communal area has an open-sided dining room and atmospheric rock-enclosed bar. The menu is an excellent combination of local and European dishes prepared using fresh produce, herbs and vegetables from the camp’s own organic garden and accompanied by a fine selection of wines. The camp has a gift and curio shop.
Activities:
Mountain biking, walking safaris/hikes, rock climbing, fly camping in forests is available on special request.
Special attractions:
Maasai guided ethno-botanical walks of any duration from one hour to one day. Guests can also visit the homes and bomas of the local Iraqw and Mbulu tribes.
