Each of the bedrooms has a unique character and charm, fully appointed with a large double bed, or optional twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. One of the highlights of a stay at Roggeland is undoubtedly the food. The dining room, originally the old kitchen of the manor house, still has the original oven and fireplace which forms part of its character and charm. Dinner is a four course menu inspired by the regional produce of Paarl and vegetables and herbs from Roggeland’s own gardens. The ’menu de gustation’, with specially selected wines to partner each dish, varies daily.
When it is time to relax, you can top up your tan next to the pool, pay a leisurely visit to the nearby rose farms or stroll through Paarl - one of the oldest towns in South Africa - with its wealth of historic buildings and glistening granite mountain. Playing a game of golf, viewing a flock of flamingo’s or pelicans at the nearby world acclaimed bird sanctuary or horse riding on a local scenic trail are just some of the other leisure options available.
