Le Quartier Français is a small, privately owned auberge situated in the French Huguenot valley of Franschhoek. Discreetly tucked away in the centre of the village, the emphasis here is on abject luxury and romantic charm, combined with privacy.
Accommodation comprises of fifteen elegantly decorated en suite bedrooms opening on to the rose filled central courtyard and swimming pool. Boasting an impressive list of awards and in the capable hands of renowned executive chef Margot Janse, it is a premier rated restaurant offering contemporary and creative dishes, using seasonal local ingredients. Guests have a variety of dining options: The Tasting Room offers course after course of exquisitely presented culinary delights showcasing Margot’s award-winning talents. Guests can choose a four, six or eight course dining experience from a constantly evolving menu. iCi is a relaxed, café-style restaurant offering casual and uncomplicated cuisine from the street-side terrace. Both restaurants are complemented by a wine list extending from award winning wines to trendy local creations.
Activities at Le Quartier are outstanding and quite unique. The Screening Room is an intimate cinema where guests can enjoy everything from celebrated classics to the latest movies from the comfort of one of twenty four arm chairs or couches. ’The Treatment Room’ offers a variety of beauty treatments using Decleor products skilfully administered by the hands of a trained skincare therapist.
