Sitting imperiously within a delightful copse of ancient leadwood and marula trees, Royal Madikwe is a true haven of bush elegance and luxury. Being limited to the private use of families or individual groups, Madikwe offers levels of hospitality and service that cannot be found anywhere else in Africa. This five star establishment affords guests the luxury of being able to plan a safari and bush experience totally tailored to their own tastes, pace and preferences.

Location:
Situated in the massive 76,500 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve.

Accommodation and facilities:
Four luxury double suites and one twin suite, all of which are air conditioned.  Each suite is impeccably furnished and includes a  four poster bed, luxurious en suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor shower, a mini bar and feature fireplace. Outside there is an elevated sun deck and private plunge pool. The family suite, which is located within the main lodge, comprises a twin room with en suite shower room and a double room with en suite bathroom. The main lodge has an elegantly styled lounge, dining room and well appointed library, all leading to a broad elevated deck which affords sweeping views of the glorious surrounding landscape. There is a large swimming pool and a wildlife viewing deck overlooking a well frequented water hole.

Activities:
There is no set itinerary to follow here, guests decide on their own agenda which can include early morning and evening game drives in an open safari vehicle, fascinating bush walks, archaeological safaris, celestial safaris, walking safaris, golf excursions and ranger skills training.

Special Attractions:
For those who are keen to “put something back”, 20% of all profit generated by Royal Madikwe is made available for reinvestment into local community projects.
