Jaci’s Safari Lodge is the perfect ’bush retreat’ offering exceptional service and outstanding accommodation. Situated on the banks of the Marico River, Jaci’s is sensitively designed to blend into its surroundings, encompassing a magnificent main area ingeniously built around an ancient termite mound. Jaci’s provides a very intimate safari experience, the perfect combination of abundant and glorious wildlife, superb amenities and a host of staff that make personal service their main priority.
Location:
Located in the Madikwe Game Reserve in the North West Province.
Accommodation and facilities:
Accommodation consists of just eight rooms and the exclusive ’Nare Suite’. Each room looks out over a small stream. The tented interiors sit within walls of local stone and a cool thatch roof cooled by overhead fans, affording a truly authentic African bush feel. All are en suite with hand-made rock baths and an outdoor ’jungle’ shower. The
Nare Suite has a self contained kitchen (where the lodge chefs will prepare meals for you in the luxury of your own retreat), lounge and outdoor dining area. The main lodge consists of a spacious lounge and open plan dining area with uninterrupted views of the bush. Dinner is taken al fresco around the open fire in the boma under the stars or out in the bush surrounded by nature. The lodge is completed by a superb swimming pool, a fully equipped gym and a small gift shop.
Activities:
Early morning and evening game drives and accompanied walks, extensive birding and sublime stargazing under an endless African sky. Expect to see wild dog, black or white rhino, giraffe and cheetah along with many other varied species of animal and birdlife.
Special Attractions:
Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci’s - children aged twelve and under are comfortably accommodated in their parents’ room on their own stretcher. Children aged seven and under are taken on their own game drives which are geared totally to the children’s interests and age level.
