Zimbali Lodge & Golf Estate

Zimbali Lodge is a five star boutique hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean and surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful indigenous gardens. The classical architecture is accentuated by warm wood and russet autumn tones and offers luxury accommodation that perfectly complements the natural surrounding forest. Zimbali Lodge has a total of seventy six rooms situated in individual lodges (two lodges of eight rooms and six lodges of ten rooms), located away from the main Lodge and set in magnificent subtropical gardens. The bathrooms are luxurious and feature Victorian baths from the turn of the century. Butlers are on hand to attend to the guest’s every need.

The Zimbali golf course is the first in Africa to be designed by former British Open and South African Open champion, Tom Weiskopf. Aided by Zimbali’s high elevation and magnificent views, Weiskopf has produced a course aimed at challenging the top players while still offering higher handicappers the chance of a competitive game.

Leisure activities are not just limited to golf - there are two all weather, floodlit tennis courts and a beautiful pool area overlooking the Ocean. The pool appears to meander directly into the sea and offers guests a tranquil and relaxing diversion. This stretch of coastline is not designated for swimming however, other bathing beaches are located nearby.

Horse riding is available for a gentle canter around the estate or to meander through the indigenous forest accompanied by experienced guides.  Guests can also enjoy the splendour of this sub-tropical forest with a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll. You may encounter a shy antelope along the way. There is also a Health and Beauty Spa where guests can treat themselves to a range of therapies including body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures and massages.
