With the emphasis on true pioneering traditions, Plains Camp tented safari lodge in the Kruger National Park is the ideal base for a big game adventure and in particular a walking safari. Location:
Situated in the middle of the Kruger National Park, only 20 minutes from Skukuza.
Accommodation and facilities:
Each of the four luxury African explorer-style tents is equipped with two large beds side by side with night tables on each side, a luggage rack, a desk and chair and two wooden chairs on the private viewing veranda. The cuisine is superb covering both European and traditional African tastes with delicious home baked breads and desserts all washed down by an excellent selection of wines. There is a plunge pool in which to cool off after the exertions and excitement of the day.
Activities:
Day and night game drives, rhino tracking, guided walking safaris, bush breakfasts and sleep outs on elevated wooden platforms (by prior arrangement).

One of the highlights of a stay at Plains Camp are the walking safaris which allows guests to discover nature’s hidden wonders in specially tailored walking trails. For the more adventurous guests who wish to enjoy an unrivalled wilderness experience ’sleep outs’ on elevated wooden platforms (weather permitting) can also be arranged.
