Situated in the rolling savannah of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, King’s Camp offers a game viewing haven in the very heart of unspoilt, untouched and unforgettable African bushveld. With its romantic ambience, this is a place to enjoy peace and tranquility whilst experiencing all the exhilaration of a modern day safari. Perfectly positioned overlooking a very active waterhole, game viewing opportunities for elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo are exceptional.

Location:
Situated in the north eastern corner of the Timbavati private nature reserve.
 
Accommodation and facilities:
Guests are accommodated in ten luxury suites all with indoor and private outdoor showers. All are elegantly appointed with soft cascading mosquito nets, remote controlled air conditioners, safe, mini bar fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The lodge offers a superb lounge/dining room, relaxing bar, pool terrace and a game viewing platform which overlooks a very active waterhole.

Activities:
Morning and afternoon game drives with knowledgeable rangers in open vehicles, a nearby 18 hole championship golf course, tours of an African wildlife rehabilitation centre and extensive birding and photographic opportunities.

Special Attractions:
From here, guests can experience the beauty of the Blyde river canyon in the luxury of a helicopter, Mountain Magic Helicopter Safaris will pick you up at Kings Camp, fly you through the Blyde river canyon and along the escarpment passing the Three Rondavels, God’s Window and stopping at the Pinnacle for a champagne picnic.
