Garonga is a sanctuary of harmony and sensitivity that allows guests to gain a true understanding of the magnificent wilderness and abundant wildlife that surrounds it. Situated in the secluded and private Makalali Conservancy in the Limpopo Province.
Accommodation and facilities:
Garonga’s six luxury tented suites nestle into ebony trees on the banks of a water course and command beautiful views. Each suite has solid walls, a wooden deck and canvas roof, with indoor and outdoor showers. The Hambleden Suite offers luxurious accommodation and privacy in exceptional surroundings. The Suite contains an ebony four-poster bed with an en-suite bathroom, which includes a hand-beaten copper bath and matching basins. The Suite also has an outdoor shower, as well as a private pool and deck. Camp amenities include an open-plan living area, wine cellar, curio shop and swimming pool as well as a special sala for aromatherapy sessions.
Activities:
Activities include game drives, wilderness walks, sleep-outs, outdoor bush-baths and aromatherapy and reflexology sessions. Birding and photography opportunities are exceptional.
Special Attractions:
For a truly magical experience, guests may sleep out on a beautiful deck with stunning views overlooking the Veldt. A sumptuous picnic hamper, a drinks box, and hot drinks are provided at the deck and there is a wash basin and toilet close by. The deck is twenty minutes drive from the main camp and is a truly authentic wilderness adventure!
