The Restaurant at Belvidere serves an evening à la carte menu with guests seated either inside in the dining rooms or, weather permitting, outside on the veranda. The cuisine is outstanding; the Garden Route being an excellent source for natural produce such as locally produced cheeses, ostrich meat and Karoo lamb. Knysna is also justifiably famous for its oysters, both cultivated and wild and succulent local venison is always a very popular dish.
Amongst the hotel’s many facilities, guests can enjoy a dip in the swimming pool and the pampering of traditional and aromatherapy massages and reflexology, whilst Knysna offers many other activity and leisure opportunities.
Lagoon cruises are available to the mouth of the majestic Knysna Heads or to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Canoeing is popular up the Knysna River and Knysna Lagoon or alternatively, sea kayaking with an accompanied instructor. Diving and snorkelling are the ultimate experience below the waves where you might just catch sight of the endangered Knysna sea horse!
