The Elephant House is an exclusive lodge situated near the Addo Elephant National Park in the fertile, sun-drenched Sundays River Valley. With its wide verandas, charming courtyards and décor evoking Colonial and African images, here you will be infused with the true spirit of Africa and experience a safari to remember. The Addo Elephant National Park was proclaimed in 1931 and today this finely tuned ecosystem is home to over 400 elephants.

Accommodation and facilities:
Accommodation comprises of nine spacious fully air -conditioned and heated en suite rooms, all with king sized beds, internet access, personal safes and 24 hour room service. Each suite boasts a private veranda and is decorated with African art and replete with lush Persian rugs. In addition to the main house, there are two cottages (The Stable Cottages) which are on the same property, but separate from The Elephant House. These are ideal for families with young children. Light lunches are taken on the terrace or beside the pool and delicious three course candlelit dinners are served daily - superb country cuisine complimented by a selection of great Cape wines!
Activities:
Game drives into Addo on open 4X4 vehicles, day trips to nearby private reserves, elephant back safaris, horseback safaris, canoeing on the river, helicopter trips as well as cultural, historical and agricultural tours in the valley.
Special attractions:
Addo Park is home to over 400 elephants which makes it the most concentrated elephant reserve in Africa thus giving one a good chance of experiencing some of the best viewing opportunities in the world. Apart from elephants there are also lion, hyena, black rhino, buffalo and various antelope species.
