Situated on the Cape’s oldest wine farm on the slopes of the Steenberg Mountain, Steenberg Hotel nestles perfectly in the tranquil Constantia Valley, offering sweeping views over False Bay. Its buildings date back to 1682 and have been declared a National Monument. Here, the elegance and style of the 17th century sit perfectly with the modern luxuries and amenities that have been integrated into the lovingly restored buildings and their perfectly manicured gardens.

Guests are accommodated in a choice of 30 elegant, en suite, air-conditioned rooms located in the original Manor House, Jonker’s Huis, Barn, Swaaneweide and Spurwing Houses. Each room is tastefully furnished with exquisite antiques in the elegant styling of the 17th Century creating a gracious combination of old world charm and modern convenience. Premier rooms are styled in contemporary decor with open plan spaces and feature romantic patios with vineyard or golf course views.

The original winery which dates back to the 1700’s provides the setting for Catharina’s restaurant, which is complemented by welcoming staff who discreetly pamper guests throughout their meal. Inventive and talented Executive Chef Garth Almazan’s award winning cuisine epitomises sophisticated contemporary South African cuisine and is accompanied by a superb wine list to make your dining experience one to be long remembered. Pre and post dinner drinks are taken in the luxurious, leather clad Cigar Bar which offers a selection of delicious cocktails and a fine selection of cigars

The hotel has two superb swimming pools and is surrounded by an 18 hole Championship golf course where guests can enjoy green fees at a concessionary rate. In addition to this, Steenberg is ideally situated as a central point to view the best the Cape has to offer - beaches on both sides of the Peninsula, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Chapman´s Peak, Table Mountain, The Waterfront and the ferry to Robben Island are all within easy driving distance.
