Sam’s Giardino is a small guesthouse, beautifully situated to offer breathtaking views over the imperious dunes of the Namib Desert. Its superb location, tucked away in a charming corner on the eastern edge of Swakopmund, is where the desert mists are thinner and the sands are literally on your doorstep.
Sam himself is an experienced hotelier whose acumen is reflected in the high levels of personal service and attention to detail that guests can expect on a stay here. Guests are accommodated in an arrangement of nine delightfully appointed rooms, made up of two doubles, six twins and a family unit. All rooms have fully en suite bathrooms and views of the charming, lush garden.
The main communal area features a breakfast bistro, a quiet and extremely well stocked reading lounge, a lounge bar with fireplace and a dining room. Sam’s many years’ experience and dedication to only providing his guests with the finest hospitality is no better showcased than through his extravagant dinners! Five courses using fresh, local ingredients wherever possible are created and prepared with exquisite care and flair. These gastronomic delights with a Swiss and Italian emphasis are enjoyed in the elegant and inviting dining room and are fully complemented by a superb selection of wines from the walk-in wine cellar.
