With no itineraries and no boundaries, Kunene Tours and Safaris are designed from start to finish around you and your individual tastes and preferences. Irrespective of the size of the group, be it just two or thirty, the tours can be from two or thirty days in duration and offer the ultimate ’bespoke’ safari adventure.
Your mode of transport will be in powerful 4x4 safari vehicles which are custom-built for comfort and under the expert handling of your experienced guide, they can go anywhere. The safaris often combine luxury lodges and small family-run hotels with luxury camping in the wild, giving you an intimate experience of Namibia’s wild places.
You will camp in pristine wilderness in some of the remotest places in Namibia, with the camps being set up by an experienced back-up team in advance. They consist of walk-in tents with beds, duvets and pillows. The main camp features a campfire, dining table and chairs, with full crockery and cutlery, refrigerators, cold drinks, and freshly prepared meals. The camps will also have hot showers and eco-friendly toilets so there is no trace of your presence left behind.
The aim is to provide a safari that combines wildlife, birding, flora, geography, archaeology and contemporary life for a rich array of true African experiences. Whilst they cover the whole of Namibia, the speciality is Kaokoland and Himbaland in the remote north-west – an area of wild beauty, abundant game and fascinating people.
