Settled beneath majestic riverine trees Ichingo River Lodge promises peace and serenity and invites you to simply relax and enjoy the feeling that being based on the river imparts.
Location:
Situated on Impalila Island just to the east of Kasane.
Accommodation and facilities:
Guests are accommodated in nine beautifully decorated Meru safari tents. Each luxurious tent has a private balcony overlooking the Chobe River, as well as a comfortable en-suite bathroom. Tents are positioned to ensure maximum privacy. The main lodge buildings are built to blend in with the scenery, with a relaxing lounge area, welcoming bar and separate open-air dining room all combining to provide maximum comfort from where to decide on your days activities. There is a superb swimming pool and deck nestled on the edge of the Chobe River.
Activities:
Game viewing by boat into the Chobe National Park where huge herds of elephants come down to the Chobe River to drink. Fishing for tigerfish and bream in both the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers. Also dugout canoe excursions to the small islands which exist in the Chobe River.
Special attractions:
For the more energetic and adventurous the lodge offers white water canoeing in the Chobe rapids opposite the Lodge. This is dependant upon the level of the river and the expertise of the canoeist. In line with its trademark of excellence, Ichingo has a fleet of high quality boats that guarantee that all guests are provided with their own dedicated guide and boat.
