The Residence

Nestled between tropical gardens and a long, pristine beach of powdery white sand, The Residence takes its inspiration from turn-of-the-century plantation houses and offers guests a deliciously nostalgic experience of a sophisticated bygone lifestyle.

Accommodation here comprises a total of 135 rooms and 28 suites all of which echo the elegance and splendour of a time gone by, with a butler being assigned to each room and suite. The luxuriously appointed rooms each have a private balcony or terrace, a king size or twin beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, desk, living area, satellite TV with in-house movie channels and a fully stocked personal bar.

Dining options have three distinct and delicious venues on the menu:

• The Dining Room is the main restaurant of the Hotel, offering dishes that have been created to blend with a diversity of fine recipes from around the world, producing a fusion of enticing flavours.
• The Veranda provides a lunch menu featuring a choice of exciting light dishes served around the pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.
• The Plantation enjoys a most spectacular ocean front setting in which to enjoy a sumptuous array of fish and shellfish complemented by live Sega performances and original local entertainment several times a week.

Recreational activities abound here - The Sanctuary, located inside the Hotel, is a vast space dedicated to treatments for the body and the soul. One of the nine treatment rooms is located in the tropical gardens overlooking the lagoon.

For something a little more strenuous, the hotel offers complimentary watersports that include water skiing, wind surfing, Hobie Cat, kayaking, snorkelling and trips in the glass bottom boat. Land based activities are offered in the form of three floodlit tennis courts (equipment provided), aerobics, volley-ball, fitness equipment, a steam-room and sauna.
