Alfajiri Villas

Alfajiri Villas overlook the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and offer luxury and privacy. These are African style villas where the theme is high makuti roofs, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern artefacts, with most of the furniture made in the family-run workshop. The gardens are meticulously maintained and include many palms from the villa’s nursery. Diani Beach is considered one of the best in Kenya and it is possible to walk for 5 miles to the north and 5 miles to the south. Large verandas with huge hand carved sofas dominate the front of the villas and a swimming pool sits on the edge of a small cliff merging into the sea and the horizon.

The Beach Villa:
Two luxuriously appointed double bedrooms with their own bathroom. One of them overlooks the Indian Ocean, and the other the overflowing swimming pool. There are a further two rooms under the makuti roof which would provide accommodation for children only. Please note there is no bathroom at this level, so children would share one of the two bathrooms below. All rooms have mosquito nets. The four rooms in the Beach Villa have no air conditioning.

The Garden Villa:
Eight guests are accommodated in four large, luxuriously appointed double bedrooms each with their own large bathroom. All rooms overlook the Indian Ocean. The rooms are air-conditioned and include split-level units and mosquito nets. All rooms have different interior decoration, the delightful furniture and artefacts having been collected in different countries around the world.

Each property is discreetly serviced by fourteen, fully experienced staff and the cuisine is sublime, with fresh seafood being brought daily to order from the beach and includes some of the best crab, prawns, lobster, octopus and sea fish available. The food at Alfajiri Cliff Villa is very healthy with a Mediterranean influence. Oils, Parma ham and some cheeses are flown in weekly from Europe. The salads and fresh vegetables come daily from local farms and the fruit is handpicked from trees and bushes around Diani. The chefs adapt menus to suit guests’ own personal tastes and all dishes are accompanied by a wide choice of high quality South African and Italian wines.

Activities include golf, snorkelling using a local African boat to the coral reef, massage and reflexology and a chauffeured vehicle at guests’ disposal within the Diani Beach area. As the villas are in close proximity to Tsavo East National Park, exclusive walking safaris can be organized at Galdessa Camp, as can excursions to the nearby Kisite Marine National Park and to Funzi Island.
