Selinda Camp is a luxury tented safari camp pitched gracefully on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway – the waterway linking Botswana’s Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes, rivers and floodplains. This charming, shaded and secluded camp offers you the most splendid views over the open floodplains, waterways and savannas with their characteristic palm islands and wealth of free roaming wildlife.
Location:
Located in the Selinda Reserve in northern Botswana, the camp is located to the east of the Reserve along the Selinda Spillway.
Accommodation and facilities:
Nine thatched tents each with feature stone baths, basins, flush toilets and antique showers. The main area is under cool thatch and is comprised of a delightful lounge and dining area as well as a raised outdoor dining deck. There is a curio and gift shop and a plunge pool which is situated away from the main area for privacy.
Activities:
Day and afternoon game drives in 4 x 4 open-sided Land Cruisers, night drives with spotlights, short walks from camp and on game drives, birding. Activities at Selinda are flexible and there is no set routine, although drives are scheduled to take the best advantage of wildlife activity.
Special attractions:
The wild dog, one of Africa’s most endangered predators, is resident here and the Selinda pack frequently dens in close proximity to the camp
