On horseback, you become ’at one’ with the environment as you venture further in to the heart of the landscape to experience the real sights, scents, sounds and excitement of the African wilderness. Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris operate on the Mashatu Game Reserve which is located at the eastern tip of Botswana - Mashatu is home to some substantial herds of elephants and numerous cats, including leopards, lions, cheetahs, African wild cat and cerval. The area is ideal for horse riding with trails covering both the riverine terrain, and the true African mopane bushveld, including the famous granite rock formations of the Tuli. All the horses are individually selected for their temperament and rideability and have substantial experience within the game reserve. Regular game sightings are not just of the elephants and cats but also of antelopes, jackals, bat eared foxes, giraffe and the occasional exhilarating canter across the plains with zebras and wildebeest. A truly unforgettable experience! Choose from a traditional seven night Tuli Safari or try the Big 5 Ride - four nights in South Africa and four nights in Mashatu.
