Living the dream...
One of the finest sights in Africa is the sun rising over the Okavango Delta floodplain - from horseback it holds even greater magic! Watching the wildlife shed its misty morning shroud or thundering through the shallows, stirring up plumes of cooling spray as a herd of red lechwe drum through the deeper waters. This was the dream of Sarah Jane Gullick who hosts African Horseback safaris and now it can be yours.
Macatoo, the horseback safari camp, is situated on the western side of the Okavango Delta, offering a terrain that is widely varied in every direction. Accommodating a maximum of twelve guests, the camp features large, walk-in, twin bedded tents, each with their own en suite facilities. The camp centre-piece is a large, furnished mess tent and a very welcome private pool for cooling off after an exhilarating day in the saddle. On the longer safaris guests have the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding out to a mobile fly-camp.
