Xakanaxa Camp is one of the pioneer safari camps in the Okavango Delta, retaining its African bush camp character whilst providing guests with the ultimate in comfort and amenities. Located on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, it is one of the only safari camps which can provide guests with an authentic, year round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.
Location:
Situated on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, deep in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve.
Accommodation and facilities:
Twelve classic, safari tents on raised platforms, each with a private viewing deck overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon. Each tent is tastefully furnished with twin or double beds and has full en suite facilities. The main area boasts an elegant lounge and dining room serving the most superb food and fine wines. The camp has an expansive sundeck, library, curio shop, plunge pool and sala with day beds.

Extensive day safari game drives, canoeing, fishing, photography, birding.
Special attractions:
Birding is quite spectacular with huge numbers of breeding storks and herons being attracted to the world-famous heronries which lie to the north of the lodge. Species include yellow bill stork, marabou, open bill stork, darters, cormorants and slaty egrets.
